Raising Dysautonomia Awareness With Blogging

Dysautonomia is an extremely stressful disorder to deal with.  This is tough because stress makes our symptoms worse as the autonomic nervous system controls our body’s ability to handle stress.  It is one vicious cycle.  One of the ways I deal with stress is writing these blogs.  While a lot of the blog posts are aimed at being informative, a lot of them are me releasing frustration when I feel at my worst.

Blogs are great.  Not only are they a good way for you to share your tips, stories, and release stress but they even can help raise awareness.  More blogs translate to more information on the internet and greater odds that people with dysautonomia will find the information they are looking for.  In addition, this creates more opportunities for people who have no idea what dysautonomia is to perhaps stumble upon the disorder.

A blog is easy to set up.  Check out http://www.wordpress.com/ or http://www.blogger.com/ and you can be sharing your stories in minutes!  It may take a few blog posts for people to start commenting on your posts but sooner or later readers will find your blog and you’ll be having a blast.  If you start a blog be sure to post a link for http://www.12morepages.com or http://bobisdysautonomia.blogspot.com/ and ask other blogs to share your blog.  Blogging is a fun way to get more connected with the dysautonomia community and help spread awareness!  If you enjoy writing be sure to give it a shot!

Hope everyone is feeling well, and happy dysautonomia awareness week!
