Perfect Clothing For Dysautonomia
ExOfficio clothing is a revelation for people with Dysautonomia in the summer. Light weight, breathable, and a handful of other features make this brand the superman of clothing. Originally I thought they only made fishing shirts, but guess what? They make everything from t-shirts to dresses!
I received an ExOfficio fishing shirt for graduation back in June and finally decided to give it a whirl this past month. I never really thought of wearing a fishing shirt outside of fishing, but this shirt is so light and well ventilated it feels as if I’m not wearing a shirt at all! Now it’s pretty much all I wear around the house.
When your dealing with Dysautonomia and the heat in the summer, its really hard to stay cool. With this shirt I actually feel comfortable for the first time in Richmond, VA’s debilitating humidity. I haven’t splurged on buying a cooling vest although people with Dysautonomia rave about them. For some reason I can’t bring myself to wearing a giant ice pack around, so for others out there who want to stay cool but don’t want to rock the cooling vest definitely check out ExOfficio.
The only problem I find is that the clothes are a little on the pricey side. They have a pretty good sale section on their website so if you can find one of their light weight and/or ventilated clothes that fit definitely give it a try! If I had a seal of approval, these clothes would get them!
